The 88^{th<\/sup> Academy Awards Ceremony will be held this Sunday, February 28^{th<\/sup> at the Dolby Theater at 5:30 P.M. PST and if you didn’t get your invitation yet, no worries, why not host your own Oscar Party in your Woodland Hills apartment.<\/p>\n}}

The ceremony starts at 5:30 P.M. on ABC, but for many of us the Red Carpet Arrivals are the highlight of the night. You can watch the stars as they arrive on:<\/p>\n

Want to impress your guests with trivia about the coveted statuette? Share these little known facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n

$\"\"$ While there are a number of stories of how the statue received its name, “Oscar”, the most widely accepted story s that an Academy librarian commented that the statue looked like her Uncle Oscar and the name stuck, although the Academy didn’t refer to it as the Oscar until 1939.<\/p>\n

$\"\"$ The Oscar is plated in 24 Karat gold.<\/p>\n

$\"\"$ The statue is 13.5 inches in height and weighs about 8.5 pounds, about the same weight as a gallon of milk.<\/p>\n
